The top and back plates of fully carved basses are generally two (or more) pieces that are joined to make a continuous whole. The back of that bass looks like maple, but not bookmatched slabs, which doesn't surprise me. Sam's been having trouble getting wood for bass backs. A friend who is a Shen dealer just got a Rogeri with a spruce top, maple ribs and mahogany back.

That looks like a Shen to me as well, and a GORGEOUS one at that. If it sounds and plays as well as the Rogeri Willow I had, you should grab it if the bass is healthy and the price is reasonable.

Thanks everyone!!
I have read many threads which were talking about shen bass, and I notice that the price of a SB300 Rogeri is around $5500- $6500 for a pre owned one, but this guy is selling at $3700 only, so that's make me to doubt it's fake or not.
But seems it is a real one, I think I am going to take it to my home!!
Thanks again buddies!!!

It's definitely our bass. You're right, they could have done a better job of book matching the back. What looks unique is the scalloped fingerboard, that's not stock.
Good luck, enjoy!
Hi john, sorry to bother, as u are the distributor, I would like to ask u one more question
Can this logo say this is a real shen SB 300 Rogeri? Becoz there is no serial number.
Sorry for being so mean, but u know what, everything in China can be fake.....

Hi ff_888,
That's definitely our label. Many of the instruments sold in China don't have serial numbers. Don't ask me why, things are just different there.
That scalloped fingerboard was most likely a modification after the fact, so the previous owner had something done. Consider it a bonus.
