Just found time to test the SLO out after it came earlier - this thing is fantastic!

I was able to dial in two sounds via headphones (it's late, heh) with the 8x10 IR for my Kiesel JB5 multiscale and another for my Dingwall D-Roc with the 2x15 and more gain and mids + highs and both were amazing.

It may just replace the CAPO, at least for my "normal" (non-metal) bass sound for now. Really hard to make it sound "bad" - it's not as transparent, and definitely has more of a baked in sound than the CAPO, but sometimes that's kind of what I want.

The D-Roc metal tone I put together for my main project is using the CAPO + a source audio EQ2 to add/remove in some choice areas, but even with this quick test I was able to get pretty close to what I have set between the two on the SLO but with more growl. Not sure the bandmates necessarily want that, but I'll test it after more tweaking at our next rehearsal - it'd be nice to have the SLO IR for my direct signal (I run into a mesa D800+ and 2 15" mesa subway cabs for stage volume).

Hey! I am still using both off and on, but to get away from continually getting pedals to try and possibly sell what I don't like as much, I've decided to try and limit myself to a quad cortex + synth pedal and wireless

I'd say if you want a woolier / tubey sound that's warmer, the Olympic is the way to go. If you want a more articulate and maybe brighter sound with more gain and fx loop routing options on tap, the capo is a great option.

My main bass rig is a Quad Cortex too, and I have the Olympic for a mini board/backup to QC... but was debating the CAPO as a possible better backup iron as the CAPO is solid state and I don't have to worry about the tube inside the Olympic.

The idea of side B being a pseudo built in drive pedal is tempting, but the videos online didn't really make the B side sound that great (for what I'd want it for).

Honestly, side B of the CAPO is the weakest part, I don't like the drive at all and never use it.

Probably why the upcoming Tim Lefebvre version is different and seems to exclude it afaict
