Shipping EMG stuff outside of US

I can speak of Germany only, perhaps Australia is different. In Germany, you have to pay customs unless the customs value is less than 5 euros. For instance, a shipping of 150 US$ value cost me about 23 EUR customs. Better check with your customs office in Australia to go sure and not to make a false deal.

AFAIK EMG is not giving permission to any US based distributors to sell abroad (to save their distributors in other countries, blah blah :D).

But if the door is closed, there are windows :hiding:

There are some shipping companies that gives you an US address (and it is not a PO Box but an actual street address, as you may know many sellers don't ship to PO Boxes). When you order, you give that US address to EMG distributor. The shipping company forwards your package when they receive it. I use Aramex for this. They charged me only once when opening the account (no annual fee etc.) and they charge the shipping from the states to my home if I use their service, that's all. You may want to check them. There are others as well.

Keep in mind that you'll pay twice for shipping: the domestic shipping (if the online seller doesn't offer a free shipping in the states) until the US address and the shipping from the states to your door (this may be high, you may want to check the shipping company's prices). There can be added VAT and customs taxes (you should check Australian customs policy). But based on my experience, it still can be cheaper than buying locally.
