Short Scale Question

Hello--
Newbie here-I'm looking to buy a short scale, and I've pretty much narrowed it down to a Cort Action Jr. vs. a Gretsch G2202. Would appreciate thoughts and recommendations from more learned forum members! Thanks in advance!

I don't own the Gretsch, but I've played one extensively. They feel nice and they have a nice thumpy sort of tone to them. It's hard to describe, but it's a sweet little bass.

I had the Cort and the Gretsch at the same time. The Cort neck was way better and I thought the overall quality was better too. I sold both only because I decided to go 32" rather than 30". But I highly recommend the Cort of the two.

I own the Gretsch. It's my backup at most gigs, but I've used it for full gigs at some sketchier places I've played. I get compliments and questions about it all time.

Bonus: It fits in a standard electric guitar gig bag. Also fits in the overhead bin on a passenger jet.

I've played the Cort Action Jr., but only unplugged. Nice neck. No comment on the plugged-in sound.

If you have the chance, play both and go home with the one you like best.
