soo my current bass is a used '74 squier p bass... and its a decent bass and my first-lovely sound but its beat too h&ll and back so im not sure weather i should upgrade that bass ie.- new paint job/refinishng, a jazz bridge pick, a varitone/new pots, new frets/fret board, and other little things or should i get a new bass somthing like a ibanez p/j combo ... im thinking i just wanna upgrade but what do you guys think

haha if you have a 74 squier its one rare bass maybe a prototype. Just so you know squiers were not made tell 82. If it sounds good fix it up
oh hahaha oops based on the serial number thats what i thought but like usuall i was wrong hahh anyway its still seems faily old

Its probably an S***** serial number right? serial numbers that start with S for fenders mean they were made in the 70's and squiers with S serial numbers mean they were made in the samick factory, i think
