I just wanted to give some props to Best-Tronics Pro Audio.
When I decided to rebuild my board, I really didn't want to go with solderless cables this time. I've put together George L's and Lava's. I didn't enjoy either and I almost gave up on the Lava's. I did persevere and, in all honesty, I've really only had one cable fail in the last couple of years. I wanted to put together a really neat, professional looking board, so I was gonna learn how to solder and make cables. I came to the conclusion that I really just don't have the time or the space to sit down, learn, and do it properly. My next thought was, have one of my buddies that makes his own cables make me some. The issue? I need 'em now and he's got other stuff to work on. Last option is to go solderless again. So, it's down to the usual suspects, when I see the thread on the new Disaster Area Disaster Plugs. Looks like these have potential. Lower profile than George L's or Lava's. The video makes them look easier to assemble than the others as well. Read a little further in the thread, and found a link to a similar, but less expensive version, [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]. If I'm gonna do it this way, might as well go all in. I ordered 3 kits(36 plugs, 36' of cable). They got them to me the next day(makes sense, since they're only one state over from me). I started on them Monday night and before I went to bed, I had 18, custom length cables made. I have a cable tester, but some of the cables were too short to test, so I just had to hope for the best.
Really long story short, I only had to redo one cable that I tested, I rewired my entire board, plugged it in, and every single cable worked! Even the ones I couldn't test. They were super easy to make. The worst part about the whole thing was measuring the cables. My board is dead quiet and it sounds great at volume. If you're thinking about going to solderless cables, I highly recommend the BTPA solderless kit. I've got some cable left over, so I'm going to order more plugs and finish my other boards. It's legit!!
