Show your <$500 5 strings.

There's LOTS out there for less than $500. And most are completely viable, gig-able, and reliable as all get-out. I've put a personal ceiling of $450 on basses I buy, but I really think I could be entirely happy with purchases under $250.

Here's my two main basses...

Schecter CV-5 (the red/maroon colored one)
It's somewhat unique as it's got a J/MM config and has the two-tone Schecterback type headstock. Now Schecter C-5's have EMG Soapbars in them and a more standard body matching Schecter type headstock.

Other is a standard Studio5 that's gotten a different bridge and such over time. One's humbuckers, the other is Jazz/Musicman config and between the two I can do about anything I need to do soundwise... at least for my needs.

(oops, noticed I linked the same photo twice... revising original post to show Schecterbacker type headstock)
