10 yrs and going strong is remarkable but oh man!, reviewing over 300 pages/over 6K posts? I'm sure 10 could be found but that's a daunting task! I'll respectfully pass but if you have favorites from the collection - feel free to re-post!

Considering you were initially looking for natural distressed finishes, I’ve only selected original finishes. I just went through the entire thread and have about 563 pictures. Some are the same bass.

Ten categories might be a better option as there were so many great shots of details, headstocks, backsides, guitars, etc. There could be a best of precision, jazz and among other brands. I'll have to put some thought into the best way to devide the categories. That being said, I do have the images collected.

Fender basses are most likely the majority of examples because of their thin lacquer finishes and use bu a majority of professional and steady gigging players. Of course there were also Gibsons, Gretsches, Guilds, Epiphones, Dano's, etc... but tit's safe to say there are more Fenders road-warriors out there today.

Yes, I suspect that's because more people have been playing them. As you know there are some great examples of Dano's going back the the late 50's. For some reason I thought there would be more basses from Italy and other countries but they remain in the minority if any. It will probably take me a few days to get it together but will post my selections when I get a chance.
