SHOW YOUR GREAT LOOKING BASSES WITH MAPLE BOARDS!

Wow, Scotch. That fretless P is just incredible. Although I'd put one of those vintage gold anodized pickguards on it, if it was mine. How did you get that unlined fretboard? Was it a custom job by Fender or did you just swap the fretboard?

No, thats an all-original '78 fretless P in the rare Antigua finish.
The pickguard matches the bodies burst finish. Unlined maple was how they did it back then.

I'm also a fan of the anodized pickguard! Here it is on my '57 reissue (next to my rosewood board Jazz):

I need to find the picture, but I used to have a MiA Fender Jazz that had a White Blonde Ash body with a maple fretboard. I had only ever seen that combo on P-basses, so when I saw it I had immediately put it on layaway. Had to sell it off a couple of years ago to pay rent, though. :bawl:

Pure sex, between this, Jordan's P, and Tom's Deluxe P-5, I'm in P bass heaven, I'ma just curl up in the corner and drool some more.
Well, seems we got a fourth bass added to this list, look at this beastie!
The only maple boarded bass I have is my Ibanez Roadster, but I want a Maple necked Fender P like nobody's business...
