Yep, not alot heavier, but it's definetly noticeable. I'm not sure if they changed to heavier magnets, or if there was some other change.

G.A.S!
Because I own 3 SWR cabs, I bought one SWR amp that blew up and blew all 4 speakers in my GII, SWR made me pay for 2 full recones, parts for one, and comped me ONE- that's after their brand freakin' new amp blew up those speakers. In the midst of that "customer service" nightmare I bought another brand new SWR amp that had more issues than the average psychologist's office. To top all that off I asked about some discontinued parts and they and they sent them to me, but charged me for them. They made me pay something like $8 for the last black female banana jack plug in the entire factory. It's not like I asked for free stuff- it's not like I expected them to give me anything for free- it's that I ended up paying to recone speakers their amp blew- that inconvenienced me, it cost me gigs that summer. And the attempt to "make it right" by the "customer service" person's boss was an apology, a couple stickers, a couple t-shirts and a hat. Not refunding the money, not comping me the parts- it was "yeah sorry, that shouldn't have happened- have some t-shirts." At least that guy made an attempt, but anything short of refunding the money I paid for the recones and the shipping wasn't going to "make it right."cgworkman said:Why?
