Hello, does anyone know the scale in inches of the-Shredneck Travel 5-string-x-series-STBX5-VS bass?
On their website it describes it as a 5/8 augmented scale.

where the scale was a non-augmented "5/8" which, according to a (former?) owner, translated to

the shredneck has a 28.5" scale

The above being said, the "augmented" part, found in the webstore as a descriptor for the newer X-series as you noted,

is the puzzling part. The thought plickens once one notices a comment left by a Shredneck rep, on an Am*zon product page for the newer, X-series 4-string model (also described as "augmented"), saying that its scale is 28.5":

which would make it identical to the old ones', with "augmented" being apparently just a tweak in the description.

IOW, I'd expect it to be either bang-on 28.5", or not far from it.
(Equals, a source of infinite headache, should you start getting esoteric with your string choices...)
