Shure GLX-D16 Digital Pedal Style Guitar Wireless System

I've been using a Invalid Link Removed for a year now. Its been pretty good. I had started tripping and getting wound up with wires and cords due to physical problems. Anyone else using one of these?

i myself have been rocking the fairly equivalent line 6 G75 for a couple years now, and i quite like it.

the shure has that special battery which lasts a really long time, and the tuner works well. OTOH the line 6 uses a normal 1/4" cable and has a faster 1.5ms latency, the fastest around for digital wireless as far as i know.

What is latency, and what is its impact.

Latency is the delay in the signal, roughly speaking.
Low latency means that the system responds almost immediately when you pluck a string.
High latency means it takes a sec for the system to broadcast what you just played.

I looked at the Shure SLX, GLX, and Line6 G70 for a while and only Line6 gave a number for latency.
Do you have a link to latency numbers for the Shure units?

as i recall, there are a bunch of different bands the shure GLXD will work on; the most favorable get like 4ms (which is plenty good) while some other less ideal options yield like 7 or 8 ms.

I thought the Shure GLXD16 also had a low latency. Regardless of what it is, the reviews seem rather favorable and I am not hearing reports of drop outs. I am looking into one of these now myself as my Line 6 G50 eats a set of AA batts for every
