Shure ULXS14

Anyone have any experience with this wireless system. I've checked around and this was recommended for bass due to the low frequency it handles.

I've had Nady, and wasn't crazy about it. I've had a Samson Concert which is prety good, but I'm going to sell it. SO I'm looking for something more professional for bass.

Mostly 4 string fretted and fretless, with the occasional five string played.

Any opinions TBers?

I hear both the ULX and SLX series are great for bassist. I'm doing some research into perhaps a SLX and some quality in-ears in the future. But I've read that the big advantage for the ULX is 1.) greater number of multiple system usage, 2.) can power in-line amplifier for a remote antenna. However a disadvantage (which may be seen by some) is the usage of 9V vs. 2-AA batteries in the SLX which is usually more affordable and readily available.

I have the ULXS14 and it's been awesome. I have never encountered any interference or any signal dropout. One of my best gear decisions. No buyers remorse at all. You have to order the rack ears at additional cost, though. Something like 22 bucks.

Go with the ULX. SLX does not go down to 25 hz like both the ULXS and ULXP do. I believe it goes down to 45 hz. I can't imagine 9v or AA not being readily available anywhere batteries are sold.

I have an SLX and it works great. I have taken it on 2 6 month tours and it works like a champ still.

+1 for the SLX, I've had mine for about 4 months now and I love it. I was expecting less but its been working great, can't even tell a differnce between cabled and wireless in the sound and thats with going through a pretty decent rig (ampeg speakers, qsc poweramp). I like the option of the high gain antenna for the ULX series though but the cost jump was out of reach for it being my first wireless setup. For only about 500 dollars the SLX works great as a mid level setup.

Really, i thought the SLX goes down to 25hz too?

Edit: Did some researching and Munji is right, the ULX does go to 25hz while the SLX does not. I've gone through some gas stations before where all they had was AA's, but they didn't have 9V's.
