Everytime I see your Sabre I think of the trans red/maple Sabre I had once and now no more then I go into the kitchen and slam my privates in the silverware drawer
Jaco didn't need to slam his privates in the silverware drawer.

No.I guess a related question might be, would you buy your favourite player's signature bass even if it meant compromising on your preferred specs?
.. / .-.. .. -.- . / -- --- .-. ... . / - --- ---because I was a Morse fan.
No.I feel like I've only had the heavily alliterative Fender Franklin fretless ... great bass, great player, don't listen to any of his music ... oh wait, I had a Dingwall Combustion NG ... great bass, never listened to the music (nor heard of the bassist until after I'd owned the bass).

I have one bass that has the signature of some dude named Squier on the headstock.
Never heard of him.
I had a Sabre in the late '80s I got from Knut Koupee in Minneapolis that was cantaloupe coloured that I figure must be worth a fortune if it still exists...I have never seen another MM product with THAT finish...couldn't get rid of it fast enough...pretty sure I traded it towards a refin Gibson Tbird that Tommy Stinson was trying to unload which I then parlayed into a early serial number RICH Eagle that absolutely thundered...what were we talking about? Ah yeah, signature basses. I now have a Tony Franklin bass that I got because honestly, it had every feature a custom build would've. I think Mr Franklin is a fantastic dude, beautiful human and I really don't own a single thing he's played on...sally forth, carry on and much love~Everytime I see your Sabre I think of the trans red/maple Sabre I had once and now no more then I go into the kitchen and slam my privates in the silverware drawer
