Simple question

I need to put my interface next to my desk. Should I stay beneath the 3 meter usb cable length? Or does it really matter? I think I'd be fine but I'd rather have a little more slack in it.

Doesn’t matter. Run a long cable. It’ll be fine.

With a good quality cable it should work, but I'd guess a great wire longer than 3 m would be quite expensive.
