Single Aggie cab for small vibe-y gigs/radio.

Hey J,

I know you own a few different aggie cabs and I'm just wondering what you are thinking about the 112 vs 115 etc. I'm trying to get something to use on radio and semi acoustic gigs and my db810 is just a bit too big.

Really thinking about the db112 nt. Any thoughts? Would the 15 be better?

Dude, you'll be all set with a 112. It's about twice as portable, and has plenty of everything for a small gig. And I like it without the tweeter, personally.

12 is a more versatile sound imho. I use a d412, and im putting a vote in for the with tweeter version.

I should note that I preferred the db 412, to the 810, because while it was a little looser sounding, it had a bigger feel to it.

Thanks for the quick responses. My gut said tweeterless 12 but I just wanted a second opinion ( it usually requests more pizza too so, ya know).

You guys think I'll destroy it with the db751? Obviously these are low volume applications so I'd imagine if I take it easy the cab would survive.

of course if you take it easy it'll survive no problem.

I used a DB750 with a GS112+GS112NT together and by themselves. If you go GS, I'd go with the tweeter, if you go DB you might survive without it due to having more mids in the cab. At the proper volume, the cab will not die a horrible death.

Exactly, If it sounds good it is good, just dont expect a ton of volume.

I used to use an aggie db112, and it kept up fine at moderate practice levels. I just stuck it against the wall, and you could feel the bass really well. I regret selling that cab. I always played without the tweeter, but I play flats on a P, so tweeters aren't really where it's at for me.

i just thought about the irony of using an amp that is bigger than the cab
