Single Bass "Club"

Hello there TB. I searched and couldn't find a club or thread for TB members who only have one bass. So, I thought I'd start one. I will NOT be assigning numbers; this thread is just to see who else has just one bass, what it is, why they have just one, why they picked that bass as their only one, etc. Also, too many of us would be in and back out and back in what with constant bass buying and selling, so let's just make this a thread of discussion.

Post away! Pics are awesome!

I'll start. Here's my 2002 Squier Standard Precision V. As you can see, it's got Jazz pickups. The factory pickups are sort of weak, so I'll be replacing them eventually. Other than that, I really, really like this bass- nice, fat neck, Precision body, solid hardware.

I'll have to get some better pictures of it soon.

Can I be a temporary member? I have an ibby and a p-bass but the p is (literally) divided between the art room at my school and my house. The body, pups, bridge, etc are in a plastic bin waiting to be put together.

I did for three and a half years until my Carvin in October, now my old P is in as many pieces as it could possibly be without splitting wood so I would think that would count? The P is on my bookshelf in a bucket and the body and neck are sitting in the garage somewhere.....but love my Carvin so even after the P is assembled it still probably won't be played....

After a long bass sabbatical playing the part of guitard for some years I'm rebuilding the bass herd. This CV Jazz is it for now. Later in the year I'll likely add a CV PBass and after that I start looking for a Modulus M92-5 like the one a I was foolish enough to sell some years back to feed a blossoming guitar herd. Maybe a fretless somewhere down the line to record with. But for now I'm in a committed relationship with my favorite. A trusty old Jazz Bass. No matter what else I've played I keep coming back to one.
