Single Tone Control Issue

I've got an older Peavey Foundation with the "Super Ferrite P/u's in it as stock . Can't get any tonal difference with the single Tone Control "AT ALL"!! , I've spoken to Steve at "Peavey"
( Great Guy ) and he's forwarded the schematics , I've checked ,....and all is as it should be .
Soooooooo, I went ahead and added a higher value capacitor increasing the value from 22uf to .45 then that made no difference. Then I added another .45uf in series Doubling the dampening value to .90 uf,..........No effect ,................ Now I've replaced the pot with a brand new DiMarzio I had layin' around .........
NO EFFECT! all my grounds are proper and have continuity
Go figure ! :help:

BTW the controls are V, V, Tone. Appreciate some constructive help !
Thanks guys :hyper:

I rewired one of my Foundations using the diagram for a Jazz bass. I also Switched the cap for a .087. On another I switched in a .1 cap.(I know this seems dramatic, but I love pre-CBS Precisions and this is what they had) I can roll off a great deal more treble. I also have found that the tone control is far more affective on the bridge pickup, and the most affective tone control is the volume level of the bridge pickup in comparison to the neck pickup. Additionally, the SF's are much quieter(interference resistant) than Jazz bass pickups so this doesn't cause much hum problem if any at all.
