    I was just listening to that song last night, but you picked up some things I hadn't heard.

    If you listen to Nathan Watts very carefully, you will hear that he sometimes lags on the start of some notes (sloggin'). When you incorporate that 'feel' you'll have it totally nailed.

    GOOD JOB !! Most covers of "Sir Duke" sound a bit frantic - you are smooth and in the groove. BRAVO !!

    And the jazz bass I use is a 2009 American Standard Jazz bass
