This is the NAMM prototype for Sire's new V10...this one is badged as a V9, but make no mistake, everything about it is the new V10 which is not in the market just yet. The bass has a swamp ash body wit a book matched flamed maple bent top with a dark wood veneer accent layer. The neck is roasted maple with abalone inlays and a satin finish. The pickups are the new version and sound so much better that the original. Preamp sounds the same...big and full in the low end and glassy highs when you want them...stacked mid's as well. There is a passive active switch as is the norm with these basses. The Sire gig bag is also included. It's currently sporting a clear pickguard, but I ordered a tortoise blank and was going to have it cut for this bass...I like tortoise with maple. I'll send it along if I haven't had it cut yet...(waiting on Amazon delivery for that). The bass weighs 9.4 pounds on my bathroom scale and is comfortable to play. These will be $1500 new and worth every penny. I'm more comfortable on a 4 string, so this one is moving on. I'm looking for $1000 plus 75% of actual shipping costs. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get a second Sire 4 string in one of the new colors so not really looking for trades, but you never know... Thanks for looking. PM me with any questions.
The V10 is a serious bass! I actually sold it because I wanted one of the new versions, but 4 string. These new Sire’s kick ass.
I have a V7 2nd Gen a very good bass but have been wanting a higher end bass that V10 might fill the bill and save me 2 to 3K in $$$$$
