Eich endorser.
I bought a Sire V7 Vintage 2nd edition.
Tuners aren’t great so i read on the forum Hipshot HB14 is the perfect fit.
It states the same on the hipshot website.

So is paid $175 for the tuners. $133 for UPS and today surprise €53,- for customs.

Well....they don’t fit.
With a marker you can see where the new holes will be, very near to the original.

I am dissapointed to say the least :-(

Not perfect.
But the tuners are much much better.

Be prepared to drill...

Hi there,

I just got a V7 2nd Gen. It has an excellent sound and weighs only 4.2 kg. BUT due to the light body it has a lot of neck dive. It bothers me so much I'm thinking of sending it back.

Do you think these Hipshots would help with that or is the difference in weight not that big?

Thanks for your answer and merry christmas to you all!

Hi, the difference isn’t huge. With a good strap no noticeable neckdive in my case.
Merry Christmas

From the Hipshot website:

"We're sorry to say that this item [HB14] is no longer available because the mounting hole pattern changed on contemporary Sire basses and it no longer lines up with this product. We recommend the HB7 as the closest fit available."
