Sit Dave Ellefson strings

I’m looking for any info on SIT’s DE strings. A local shop has a few sets at a decent price but I’m not familiar with Sit strings in general. Has anyone tried these?

I have not used the DE strings specifically, but have used other SIT strings for years. They are among the best you can get.

Amazon had the DE strings for $12 a while back, I should have stocked up. I think they are back to $16 now.

Just came across that Amazon page right before I saw your reply. They’re currently $15.39, at that price I’m going to have to try them.

SIT makes great strings--and at very reasonable prices. As far as I can tell, the DE strings are simply their Power Wound's. I bought a set of DEs and then put a set of the Power Wounds and I can't tell any difference. There may be one in manufacturing to justify the different name, but I'm really picky about tone and I can't tell there's any difference. Which is to say, both are great sets. So are their Power Steels. However, the DEs and PWs seem bright for NPS.
