SIT Foundation B String Issue

Recently purchased a couple 5 string light guauge sets of SIT Foundation Strings and immediately noticed the B sounded flat and dead, the rest of the strings sounded bright and clean, then looking closer I seen they have this inconsistency in the winding. I would think this is not normal and possibly overwound? Not sure.

I would contact SIT and see what they say. They are great folks and will take care of you.

I did, They sent me an RMA so they can review the defect. Odd, I have never seen a string like this before.

Sadly I purchased them when they were having a 30% off special.

Where did you find the special, cause I just put on a set a couple of days ago an absolutely Love em!!

I found the discount on Instagram, there was a link to purchase direct from SIT through their Shopatron site.
