Six String Bass And Strap Back Problems

I am a devout 6 string bassist. Due to recent
findings, I believe the weight of my basses are
causing back problems, along with the position/
length of my strap. I am searching for the tone of a
grand piano, but with a boomy bottom end. What
would be a good bass and the most comfortable/
healthy strap? I like the Modulus Quantum 6`s and
the Musicman Bongo 6`s, but are there any better,
lighter basses that would give that tone? Thanks in
advance.

You might want to try the GruvGear DuoStrap Neo. It distributes the weight evenly over both shoulders.

I use the Neotech Mega Bass strap with my Q6 and find it very comfortable.

The Comfort Strapp made my 12-13lb Warwick six string a lot easier to gig. They come in a few different sizes so make sure you get the right length. As for basses, any modern active six-string should be a good place to start looking; a higher-end Ibanez will be light and might fit the bill (and not too expensive, either).

Shoulder or back problems?

There are also builders who should be able to make them very light. My 32" scale 7 string is 10lbs and my Rob Allen 6 is about 8.6lbs.

Back problems more so. The GruvGear DuoStrap Neo certainly seems interesting, and they are having a sale for another few hours. I have pretty much the Levi version of the Neotech, albeit is a large size, and is too big for me.
