Putting this lovely bass up for sale as I've got Pete building me a custom. Dead mint condition as can be seen in the pics.

Price: $3,000 insured/shipped to lower US 48 - PayPal OK

    From the Skjold website:
"This stunning bass features all the tone and playability of the more expensive models but is a more affordable package. If you are the kind of player that puts the importance of the playability and the tone of the before fancy woods and cosmetics than this is the bass for you. Although it is a two piece ash body it has been done up in a very elegant ceruse style finish with copper pearl accents in the grain. The 33” scale allows this bass to really sing in the upper register while still having a useable and practical B-string for support playing. This bass is part of the Stage series, my most affordable series without sacrificing all the handmade details and comfort Skjold players have come to know."

    I'm pretty excited...any day now...

  4. Wow! Wish I had the scratch for this. My Skjold Gen 5 is the best bass I’ve ever played. I can only imagine how good this one is.

It's an incredible instrument. Can't believe it's his "bottom of the line". This bass convinced me to work with Pete on a custom.

It does not. It has a solid ash body.

It's quite light and perfectly ergonomic. I mainly play seated in classical position. Never find myself wrestling with it to maintain control or situate it differently.
