SL900 Dead!!

The job title is close enough as I really do both.

So, I was thinking this through, it was not making any sense until I realized that there should not be a click on this amp as it does not use a muting relay. There should NOT be any click as it comes out of standby. I had to go back to the paperwork (good reason to keep a laptop out at FOH ;)) and double-check as I was beginning to doubt my memory.

So, disregard my first thoughts as the problem is most likely to be a tube. If that's not the case, PM me and I will walk you through a couple of things and we will get this sorted out.

The blue LEDs are an entirely cosmetic item and is not related. They can be repaired under warranty for you at your convenience. I will be happy to walk the service center guy through what is a 5 minute repair if that becomes necessary.

I used to do that, and the tube ended up getting crushed and filled my bag full of glass.

Yeah, I could definitely see that happening - besides, if a tube bit the dust with my Streamliner or M-pulse 600, I'd end up DI only anyways - with either amp, it takes a little while to get at the tubes, given the number of screws on the top cover...

I always bring a separate DI as a "backup amp", but have never needed it for any of *my* amps - I have used a DI in place of a provided backline rig that crapped out on me, though...
