Slaving an amp

On another thread someone joked about slaving 2 acoustic 260 together.I dont much about slaving a amp and did some searching and did not come up with much.So can you slave these amps together even thou there is no pre eq out?And if so how do you do it?

as long as the amps have two inputs, all you have to do is plug the bass into one amp, then run a cable from the empty input to the input of the second amp. slaved.

So i could plug my passive bass into the passive input then run a line from the active input in the first acoustic 260 to the secound 260 giving me 2 acoustic 260 countrolled by one eq and from one bass?Do i understand this right?

not quite...the second amp will still need to be tweaked to your liking. i'm almost positive that it's an untreated signal that goes from the first amp to the second.

Hmm this is very interesting i have been looking for a smaller setup for acoustic jams and played the Acoustic 260 and the ampeg vr.I tend to like the 260 more i think it has more low end IMO.But with the ampeg you can add a cab and get a full 200 watts! So if you can slave one acoustic to another then you still get 200 watts and save 300 bucks.Right?Or spend 600 bucks on somthing bigger and louder LOL.But i still find this interesting!

Bump again.

I just picked up an Acoustic 200 power amp. Anyone have any advice on how to use this thing? I can't find much info on in, not even on the Unofficial Acoustic Control forum.

Can I use it with my Acoustic 140 head and 402 cab to make it louder or will that damage anything? Is it better to just use it to power a second cab?

Also, the plug on it is less than 2 feet long and won't reach an electrical outlet. Is this normal for a vintage slave amp? It looks like it is designed to plug into the outlet on the back of an amp head, like the one my 140 has. I don't want to risk trying it until I get some info.

Any information or tips on how to use this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
