I don't know about you guys, but I keep my bass in my bedroom, out of the case, ready to go whenever I get a spare minute, works great. However, I also sleep in said bedroom, with the window open at night. Temperatures at night might get down to 9 degrees (Celsius. It's also probably a bit warmer in my bedroom...), and the highest temperature during the day might be 20 degrees, maybe a bit over.
My question is, should I tuck my bass in beside me at night (or more appropriately, put it in its hard case), or will this type of temperature variance have little to no effect on the neck/wood?
