Slightly "Stiffer" Than Dunlop SuperBrights?

Long story short: I'm close to exhausting my supply of Dunlop SuperBrights and would like to move on to something a tad stiffer. First thing that comes to mind is the DR Lo-Riders in a 40-120 set. Any other suggestions / recommendations?

Thanks / Riis

GHS RoundCore Boomers.

Stiffer than comparable DR round core strings (e.g. Sunbeams) and the Dunlop SuperBright steels I've tried (since GHS uses a thicker round core than DR), but with enough of that "give" that people like in round core strings (or, in the case of SuperBrights, a skinny hex core for that flexible round core feel). GHS Round Core Boomers sound great too, IMO. They've become one of my favorite strings (and I've been a string GASer since I first started playing in the 90s).

Super Brights as in Stainless or Nickel?
Since he mentioned Low-Riders as an alternative I suppose he means nickel. And if nickel, then I was going to suggest DR Sunbeams. They are very close to the Dunlop Super Brights but just a tad stiffer as he requested. Same tonal flavor and type of feel as well in my opinion. Definitely in the ballpark. They are what I would go with if I couldn't get my favorites, my SB nickels!

They make stainless lo riders too

Generally stainless is just a little stiffer than nickel when comparing the same set

Lo-Riders come in both stainless and nickel versions as well. I asked the question about "stainless or nickel" because the Marcus Miller Super Brights, suggested earlier, only come in stainless.

Based on my experience, DR Sunbeams (round core) are not any stiffer than the Super Brights. I still think the SIT Foundations (thin hex core) are a better option for the OP.

I would try Marcus Miller super brites followed by Dunlop's signature series if you want to stay with the brand. Personally I prefer these to super brights. I've tried both regular and Marcus Miller and they just don't cut it for me compared to the OG Dunlop which is the signature series now. Aside from foundations maybe the labella RX would be suitable.

I'm not loyal to the brand. The back story: years ago, I bought 2 packs of the SuperBrights about the same time they were having major QC issues (...strings wouldn't intonate). I complained...they listened and sent me a carton each of the nick's and SS. I'm just now getting to the last of the stock as I rarely change my strings.

That's good on them to send you a whole carton like that. There's a lot of nice strings out there so we have quite the selection.

It was out of sheer frustration on their part but I appreciate the accommodation. Almost forgot: they're 6 string sets as this is / was the only configuration that came with a 130 B string.
