small amp for low B

Is that my friend, Paul? Great to see you here, buddy. Sorry we didn't manage to hook up for lunch at NAMM, but maybe next year. We were all lovin' on your LoPhat cabs in LA.

Your comments are well-taken. I prefer to keep replies on-point and considered exactly that prior to posting about the Acme. The OP, Unclebass, stated "Don't want anything larger or more powerful, just something to practice on that can handle the lower notes without sounding bad like my rumble15." I did some head-scratching and chin-pulling and could not think of a single rig that meets his criteria (although some fail less miserably than others). The point of my post was not to pimp the Acme because I personally like it; my point was there are NO small, low-powered, inexpensive amps that will do what he wants. None. Nada. The Acme was the third-least expensive solution that I could think of, the second-least being headphones and cheapest being (tongue-in-cheek) tuning EADGC.

Unclebass may not find those suggestions useful, but they were considered in light of his inquiry and intended to address his stated goals.
