Small amp to play with acoustics

Grief guys, get real. I play in local acoustic sessions with an Ibanez acoustic, which is nearly loud enough, and with melodeons too, which are louder than acoustic guitars. My home practice rig is a 1W blackstar through a 16ohm 1*10, which probably means its delivering about half a watt. Its way way louder than the Ibanez. I have not the slightest doubt that 1W through a 10in or better speaker would be fine for a straightforward acoustic jam.
I'm playing in a similar jam session, and currently using a 30w Ashdown ( AAA-30 EVO ) which works perfectly.
Volume at about 3-5, and that's been more than enough in a room with several guitars, banjo, bodhrán, cajon and harmonicas all rocking away.
The other bassplayer in the group brings a small Fender Rumble 15, with an acoustic bass through it, which sounds good too, but doesn't have quite the volume needed if things get lively.

You can get a Fender Rumble V3 25 watt for $99. That should be plenty loud enough. The 40 watt will also be an excellent choice. Good luck.

.For those kinds of jams, virtually anything will work for amplification. The kids got a 5w Drive bass amp - a toy basically. We used it at the house several times for large acoustic jams. It just doesn't take much in those jams. Less is definitely more.
I use a Roland microbass cube when dealing with un-amplified acoustic guitars. Everyone is always surprised at the amount of bass that comes out of those 4 small speakers. And, it runs on batteries if you are at a campsite or other unpowered location, like busking.

I've done this type of gig. My feeling is 20 watts is fine to get the blend. After all, if I read correctly, the other players are acoustic. Don't expect a big full tone but volume wise I think you'll be ok. Just check it out locally before purchase. I see no need for over 50 W. Think into the future. Maybe something a bit bigger would have more uses?
Eden made a really cool tiny amp rated around 200 W or a bit higher. That's what I used to use. Wasn't great on the b string but I worked around it. Was also loud enough for living rm electric jams. Class d head came w carry case, super light and portable.
I normally don't have to amp...the abgs I use work ok unplugged for most of my jams and some gigs. When I do need more volume, a Rumble 15 is way more than adequate.
Another vote for the Phil Jones Double 4. Warning: be prepared to rob at least 2 liquor stores on the way to purchase one, They are pricey.
To the OP: where are you located? I have a Bassman 150 tilt-back which I would virtually give away just to free-up some storage space.

A cuppla months back did a living room jam on feedbacky original rock music with a acoustic full-size kit (pillow in kick, one crash, hats, snare), a Tele into a ProJr(15 watts, lotsa pedals) and a Flying V into a Trademark 10 (10 watts cranked, no pedals) and the Ampeg BA108. I was by far the loudest (I used a Hohner BA2 and pedals, also), and never turned up past 11:00.
This past summer, my band did a lot of acoustic jamming in our drummer's backyard. I joined in March, and their songs needed structure. So we chose a simpler format to work in. 2 acoustic guitars, drummer on hand percussion. The first time, I brought my Gold Tone MicroBass, but it wasn't loud enough. The next few times, I brought my SF MusicMaster Bass amp. It did admirably with the amp barely on. I wouldn't use it on a gig but it was just fine in that format.
That said, as our band dynamic is changing, I'm looking for a more flexible amp I could possibly play a variety of instruments through. I'm currently looking for an 80s or early 90s Peavey KB60.

I used to do restaurant gigs with two acoustics (and me) using a BXR25 (a kind of primitive Rumble 25 for those who don't remember those great amps).

I like the little Acoustic Image combos. They're not cheap, but they're small and sound good.
I'm shocked all the shorts critics didn't come out with that picture I posted..
