Small amp

I was wondering what is the best small amp I could get to bring into my dorm room. I have a fender rumble 15 watt amp, but it seems incomplete in tone. So I was wonder if there were any amps that are better with around the same wattage, or if I should just stick with my current amp.

If you could find one, a Fender Bassman 25 is a great little combo. The Peavey Max series is very reasonably priced, very portable, and with very decent tone, IMHO.

Lol, not what I was imagining. The ampeg BA 108 or the warwick 15 watt amp was more what I was looking at.

Don't know what you want to spend but an epiphone valve jr. and a 110 bass cab makes a great practice amp. Warm tube tone on the bottom half of the dial and grit on the top half. Otherwise just play a few different little regular practice amps and pick the one that sounds best regardless of brand name.

Bass tone is very subjective, and more a personal preference thing than anything else. best to go forth and play through as many small bass combo's as are available to you, and choose based on that, not our opinions. No substitute for hands on, (ears) experience.
