small body basses

any small body basses that have that versatile fender jazz type tone. i play country and rock.

Not sure if it is the tone you want, but the Lakland Decade immediately comes to mind when I think of a small body 4 banger with country/rock looks. Extensive sound clips are on the lakland website and the skyline model is reasonably priced.

Pedullas have fairly small bodies and tone for days. They play beautifully.

Sounded great and built to gig, right out of the box. Really nailed the vintage Jazz tone too. Only problem was that the body was too small for me (keep in mind that I'm 6'3 and about 250 lbs). I sold it because I had two Jazz type basses and decided to keep the fretless only. Unfortunately, they have been discontinued, but you might find one used.
