Small splurge

The other day, I ordered a grey Fulltone GT-500 at a discount on their webside. Barkless Dog brought this box to my attention the other week. And damn, it looks spiffy.

And I just scored a very lightly used ART SGX 2000 on eBay for $250. Been wanting one of those for a long time.

Just had to brag. :D Can't wait for my stuff to get here. The waiting ensues. Hopefully, the SGX 2000 won't be as noisy as the Nightbass is.

Now it's time to look at power amps...and analog delays. :p

Aah yeah. It looks like it could be good, so I'm always willing to give it a try. I've heard people **** on stuff that works REALLY well for me, so I'll let my ears decide. I'll let you know how it is when it gets here.

At least the GT-500 has the clean boost. That's what I'm most interested in at the moment. The treble trim pot is a high-end roll off and the bass knob has a pretty wide range. I'm willing to listen to it through my Tube Works amp with open ears.

And the overdrive channel has that wah inductor-driven midrange knob with the huge sweep. I'm excited to see how that sounds on bass since I love the Fulltone wahs.
