Smb-4d and sjb3 wiring diagram?

I don't know why I'm having issues with this wiring. I'm wiring a smb-4d at the neck and a sjb-3 on the neck position. I am only going to have 2 volume pots (one for each) and the output jack. I've followed the standard passive jazz diagram and just skipped the tone knob. It worked but not really. The top volume knob does raise the volume on the smb-4d and lowers it. The bottom volume knob however, turns the whole volume either off or on for both.
I'm wiring the humbucker in parallel mode (black & red together in a lug and green/bare/white ground together on top of pot.
Any ideas whats going on?

I'm not going to be much help but a Volume and Blend will get you there and give you the adjustability you're wanting.

I never use the tone knob, so that's why I'm only doing 2 volume pots. I just wondering why the bottom volume pot is lowering the overall volume on both pickups instead of just the jazz pickup. The top volume works fine for the humbucker.

I would first check lla soldering point to insure none of them are making contact with anything else. Secondly I'd hit all of the soldering points with the hot soldering iron to insure you don't have any cold joints.

Yea, I was gonna redo everything again. Im waiting on a better wire stripper. Should get it tomorrow and will rewire everything again.

Before you do that loosen the volume pots and rotate them counterclockwise a little so you have unrestricted access to the terminals when you rewire and solder.
