Will single short scale d'addario strings go on a fender bass VI? If anyone knows that would be appreciated.

So Bass VI Strings

Not their short scale... you wanna buy their specially made string set for the Fender Bass VI:

As Jason have mentioned above... Bass VI needs 35.5" winding length strings. D'Addario short scales are 32" and their medium scales are 34".
Not to mention the Bass VI is supposed to be using strings with small guitar ball ends, so (short and medium scale) bass string ball ends would not be flush into the ferrules (although there was user in TB which didn't mind with this kind of setup).

their strings are too small, stock strings for it are like a rubber bands its like im playing korn songs with light bass strings
then get the La Bella's if you prefer prepacked set or some would suggest getting the Kalium for more customized gauges.
I had the same problem of too small gauges on my SRC6 (Ibanez take on the Bass VI), then I swapped the factory strings (which seemed to be D'Addario's) with La Bella Flats, and I'm quite happy with result, especially the tension of the lower strings are much firmer. But after I've played this set for quite some time, the higher strings are slight too tight for my fretting hand. So later I might combine the lower strings from the La Bella with higher strings from D'Addario.

Which would you recommend the src6 or the bass vi
I'm not the right person to give such comparison, as I've never laid my eyes on Fender/Squier basses cause I always see them to be too common (despite the Bass VI is rare breed). Moreover, they cost too much for my wallet (well... maybe not the Squier ones, but still the too common factor has shut my eagerness to own one).
More on the bass, although I had lived with passive only bass(es) for 22+ years, I always see having an active circuit on board the bass to be a plus, so this one goes to the SRC6. The pickup selector or the individual pickup on-off switches on the Bass VI sure made them to have lots of sound variations. But having ceramic steel EMG HZ as the pickups on SRC6, enables me to get thick dual coil sound as well as more pronounce single coil sound after I modded the wiring and changed the stock vol potensio to a push-pull one. The vibrato arm on the Fender is nice, but I don't think many of the owners use them either. Some even have swapped the bridge to a fixed one.

I have been looking everywhere and perhaps I'm missing it but what are the length of the D'Addario exl156? Will they fit a 34" scale?
EXL156 winding length is 35.5". It's not for 34" scale bass as a 34" scale usually needs a minimum of 36.5~37" winding length.
Thank you for the quick reply. I think for the 34" my only option is going to be a 5 string set with a high C and then a piccolo E.
Take a look at Kalium's web site. They can be a pain to deal with (slow delivery, not much on communication) but they do eventually deliver and you can get great roundwound strings for the Bass VI in a wide range of gauges from .012"-.053" to .035"-.150". I like the BVI-098 set for standard E to E Bass VI tuning.

I am currently using Kaliums, and they are quite nice. I also have used LaBellas, and was just as pleased, though they are more expensive.
I came across Stringjoy today, which are pretty inexpensive, but the low E is only a 90. Will these be floppity? I took off the D'Addarios I tried after about 5 minutes for that reason.
