so, im a dumb noob.

If you're SURE that you'll only ever have the one cab, find a good 4 ohm cab, like the SVT410hlf. But if there's even a small chance you'd add a 2nd cab later, go with an 8 ohm cab, (more to choose from). Besides, 320 watts through 4 10's is plenty sufficient for most any situation.

I'll throw out the suggestion of 2 8 ohm 210's. Avatar or Carvin are good buys, you might also look at what Billfitzmaurice has to offer. Then you have the 4x10 speaker surface area and a 4 ohm load if and when you want it, but you also have the option of an 8 ohm 2x10 for living room jams, etc. You also have the option of vertical or horizontal stacking for the various benefits they provide. Good luck!

PunkRockDunn, There's no harm in asking questions that's how we all learn. Your 5500 amplifier puts out 350 watts into 8 ohms. Our classic 410XL cabinet would be a great choice with your 5500. You could always in the future add another 410XL or 115XL and your 5500 would be fine with that.
