I arrived in Los Angeles 4 days ago to join the rest of my band. They relocated last year and were nice enough to wait a couple months for me to settle my affairs in San Francisco.
Now that my life has changed in, oh, so many ways, I feel I should focus on the things that need to be done to get a life of sorts going on here in la-la land, most important of which is a job and a roof of my own. I am very determined and focused on getting these goals achieved asap, which means that I've decided to forgo any distractions and addictions, and unfortunately, that includes Talkbass.
So this is goodbye for now. I know I've not always been on my best behavior, and for that I am sorry. I'm a nice guy, really. Thanks for all the support and suggestions, y'all.
I'd also like to congratulate and welcome Josh Walsh on his new mod gig. Hope you like giving bikini waxes...
Congratulations also to Embellisher for being the new mod in the classifieds and the lost and stolen gear forums. It was a pleasure co-modding with you and I hope you enjoy your new forums.
For those in the Los Angeles area, please check my latest "friendly gigspam" thread. My band's first gig as L.A. residents is on the 10th, then we have another gig on the 30th.
So there you have it. I'll poke my head in every now and then and annoy someone about their spelling for old times' sake...
