So recommend a Mastodon CD to me...

I am in the process of becoming a big mastodon fan. I bought Cracke The Skye along with some other cds on amazon not expecting much. The first few times I listened to it. I did't like it very much. So, about a month later, I picked it up again and decide I will give it another chance. When the first song was over, i couldn't believe what i was missing. They just have this Raw, awesome sound. So I listened to the whole cd. In the end, I was dumbfounded. On Amazon, I just put Leviathan in the cart. I cannot wait until it comes in. I have heard they sound very different. Less prog. I have listened to some of the tracks and I think this album is going to rock! I cannot wait til it comes in.

Baroness, the Blue Album

Actually, I would definitely recommend Baroness's Blue and Red Record to any fans of Mastodon. Killer killer stuff on both those albums.

Hmmm for musicianship? As mentioned before, its definitely Crack The Skye album, I seriously don't know how they can top that off with their next album. Happy listening!
