A while back, as some of you may remember, BassClubChicago accidentally sold a large number of the "New for 2009" Ritter Royas (which retail for $8,000) for $0.00, including shipping. A number of us "bought" them, and I, in fact, even have the printed receipt and one saved to my e-mail. So, I'm curious. What's going on with this? I know that the chances of a free Ritter are slim to none, but we ought to get something. They mismarked their prices; we were under the impression that we were getting free trial concepts, and now we haven't heard a word from them since our purchases? Any input guys?
Hello??? Anyone??? I don't mean to be pushy and bump this, but it is something I'm very curious about and I'd been looking forward to some feedback from my fellow TBers before I have to hit the hay for the night (doc app. in the morning)...
This isn't the kind of topic that will spawn a post within its first 23 minutes of existence. Patience is a virtue... And although I wasn't around for the incident that you're talking about, there's no way ANY vendor is giving away a Ritter for $0. Period.
I'm assuming that you've actually called the store? If not that sort of answer's your own question. If you did call the store I'd love to know what they said!
Hopefully you are just asking this for fun. FYI, most shops that have a sales page online, put up pics of a new bass that's on it's way, or stock pics from the manufacturer before it gets actually released and just put the price a $0.00 Because they either don't have the bass yet, or don't have the actual/current pricing available.
$0.00 is not a purchase, $0.01 is. I think you're dreaming if you think they are just going to give you a Ritter. Sorry to burst your bubble. Dirk
I sold mine on eBay. You didn't get yours??? Jeesh. Too many people feel that they're "owed" something.
Guys, did any of you actually read all of my post? I said that I know they aren't going to ship me a Ritter for free; to believe that is to be mentally impaired. I said that I was just curious as to what happened with the rest of the guys who ordered one. I just wanted to know if anyone ever got an e-mail or if anything was ever said about it again by the company itself. I mean, sure, I'd have loved it if they accidentally shipped them anyway, but I NEVER expected them to. I'm just going to try to get a free hat out of this! (JK)
If you have a receipt and they have not sent you the Ritter, you may actually have a case. Light a little fire under them and demand your money back. Maybe they feel that emailing, calling, or sending hats to everybody isn't worth the time (and thus money) it would take since it's a ridiculous situation to begin with.
