I have a bass that had the single coil P route in bridge position but no pickup in it. Just for fun, I put a Chinese dual rail strat humbucker in there and it's one of the best sounding bridge pickups I've ever heard - cost me something like $9 for the pickup. I did file down the top of the rails to flatten the radius.

I probably would have added the TBird pickup to the walnut bass. You're makin' me think about building a new bass..

I can't fiddle with the walnut bass, it's got a great sound, the Fralin split single in that chambered body kills in a mix.

Could have sworn I got them through all parts, they're metal and yes i'll be trimming the pick guard, I wanted to see how it looked without cutting.
