Be grateful that's all that happened. I just thought about clapping and suddenly I found myself in this strange limbo dimension with this huge guy telling me to get lost!

Lucky for me this surfer dude wearing an old school flight suit and threshing a silver plank cruised by right about then, grabbed me and hauled my sorry butt straight out of there.

Next thing I knew, I was sitting in a truck stop in Jersey with a nice hot cuppa and a piece of pie in front of me. And absolutely no clue how I got there.

Hadda call my sister for a ride home…

But I finished my pie first.

(Gotta keep your priorities straight, right?) ;)

Most certainly...

40, to show my support for Sam Ock's story, I clapped and all of a sudden, the lights went out...

... felt kind of strange applauding someone with the last name, 'Ock'...

So you're telling us you don't know you can target boosts by MSA or zip code?? ;)
That is targeted, by regions, age groups (21+), and interests ( several very specific ones). But India happens to be one of our markets, so that region was included, along with 20 other countries. But "MAGICALLY" 90+ percent of responses come from Indian students who have nothing to do with our market. It's clearly SCAM padding of the "results" by Facebook algorithms, conveniently chewing up the advertising budget in short order. Some rogue programmer there doing some skimming, or just head office padding their bonuses? I guess we will never know...

My company has a large following among Guatemalan tween girls because there is a boy band down there with a vaguely similar name. They send me messages in Spanish, and I always respond.

That's all organic, though, I didn't pay for it.

We pay to promote on facebook and instagram for nearly every event we do. It works, and once you get over a kneejerk "I'm not giving facebook a penny" reaction, it becomes pretty standard. The world of physical fliers for band seems to be dying. We spend commensurate amount on online advertising as we would on reproduction costs and it nets us way more eyes on our stuff and more bodies in the door.
