Alright I have a few questions.

1. I heard that if I have two 4 ohm cabs and want to run them both at the same time, that means I need a head that can handle 2 ohms... so If I get two 8 ohm cabs,does that mean that I need a head that has a 4 ohm option?

2. I have a ashown mag410t cab and a ashdown mag300 head and I havent had a problem yet, but the other day at band practice, I plug in and everything is REALLY unusually low and horrible sounding, so I grab my behringer bass v-amp and use that so I can at least be heard. What is the deal with my head? Is it blown?

---> Yes you are right. The Eden WT800b will handle the 2ohm load all day, night, and day again. :)

when an amp says (4ohms min) that means you can run an 8ohm cab or two 8ohm cabs or one 4ohm cab. I ALWAYS try to get 8ohm cabs just for because so many amps are 4ohm min. IF YOU KNEW you'd ONLY use one cab, sure, get a 4ohm.

+1 VOTE for eden. you can find older eden wt400's for about $400-$500 used. great amps if you like the sound.

Get the head looked at by an amp tech- Ashdown Make GOOD amps, so I wouldn't just think of gettin a new one coz of one prob. May be just a loose wire/connection somewhere! Ask at yr local music equipment shop about a tech. if U don't know of one already. Ask the tech to find out whats wrong & inform you B4 they go ahead with ANY possibly expensive procedures. Once they've told you whats wrong & given you a quote for repairing it, get back to us on Talk Bass & tell us here what the prob. & quote is & you should get some credible answers as to whether the problem diagnosis sounds correct, whether the price of the quote is OK etc....
