Well, I've been considering building a small travel(ish) bass, so I can take it to school and whatever.
Right now I'm still planning it out, so I'm very, VERY open to suggestions.
I don't really want to use piezos (no particular reason, I'd use them if it was absolutely necessary), so I want to put in a single pickup. What would be the best thing to put since it'll have small string spacing and a small body? I'm thinking of a single coil P, or something else small.
And with-headstock or headless?
