Someone selling my Ebay auction?

So I posted one of my classical guitars for sale on ebay: Manuel Rodriguez E Hijos Model B Classical Acoustic Guitar | eBay

I was searching the interwebs to figure out pricing. I stumbled across this page: Classical - Manuel Rodriguez E Hijos

Looks like someone lifted my auction and is somehow trying to sell through their page? What's even weirder is that someone clearly went through the auction and wrote up their own (somewhat inaccurate) assessment of the item's condition, without them ever seeing the guitar.

This is the first time I've ever run into (or at least noticed) this. Anyone have any idea what's going on?

I think the idea is he’ll buy it from you if he sells it. I’m not sure how this is supposed to be profitable unless he sells it for a much higher price.

I'm not sure how it works... the price shown on his page is the same as my current ebay price. Maybe he gets some sort of referral fee from eBay if it sells through his link?

Like I said, this is all new to me, so I'm more curious about how this works more than anything. Anything which steers people to my auction is a plus for me, so I'm certainly not complaining as long as I get paid the auction's full selling price. I will be pretty pissed if a "referral fee" comes out of my pocket, though.

Looks like they just linked to your eBay sale. It's not like they can sell it from their site since they don't have the instrument in hand. Free advertising!

Still, it makes me wonder why someone would take the time to link and write up their own independent assessment. People sometimes do weird things, i suppose?

Here's the full link coming out of that rogue site, before the automatic redirect to my auction page:

I'm guessing one of those IDs in the URL links back to the guy's account somehow. What that info is used for is beyond me, though.

Maybe some way of selling it not as described, and ending up as an eBay claim against you, making you have to refund the purchaser, but the rogue seller sends up with the instrument? Don't see exactly how it works, but maybe report to eBay and see if they know of a way this is a scam? IDK
