so heck. i need to pick some songs to preform with my band at a bar and im doing a solo song by myself and singing it. suggestions for both would be nice.

The best song is the the song you like the most. A wiser guitar player once told me, find a song you like, learn it and play it flawlessly like you own it. Have command over the song, and be able to express yourself with it, and know it inside and out. And it will be your go-to song that you can rely on anytime anywhere.

It really depends on a lot of things. One, of course, would simply be what you like. We can recommend lots of jazz standards but if you hate all that is not metal, it won't help much.
The other would be your voice. When setting out to sing, it's VERY important to learn your own voice as a kind of "instrument" and learn where it will and won't go. I was told early on I do a pretty good Jim Morrison so Love Me Two Times became kind of a signature tune for me to play and sing. I see you're female, so if you have a high voice, that may not be a good choice for you.
Songs where the bass is simple and steady are generally best if you're just starting to play and sing. If the bass line is complex and melodic and the vocals are all funky and off-beat, it can be very hard to get the two together.
A couple of possibilities (again, these are songs that work for my voice - you may or may not find them in your range):
With or Without You/U2
Good/Better than Ezra
Beverly Hills/Weezer
You can move into more complex stuff if those are easy for you.
