Double Bass Sonores Gut Strings by Gerold Genssler

I tried these today. Holy poopie I want them. Does anyone have any experience with them? I'll have the cash to buy them soon and want to know if they're worth it? Do they really stay in tune just as good as steel strings?
I'm going to order a set. I hope my bass likes them. $605 is a lot to spend on strings. I'm convinced though...

The Corax believe. They're the black wrapped gut strings. A fellow bassist has them on his beautiful bass up here and they feel great and sound great as well.
Anyone have experience with the red label strings? Or any of his other fiber core strings for that matter?
I've flirted with the idea of getting a set of Gerold's strings, but there seem almost too many options. Don't know where to start!
I play 99% mid century jazz with a strong Mingus/Chambers influence. I practice a lot with the bow and have perhaps misplaced orchestral aspirations. I've been using various raw gut G&D for nearly a decade now, with synthetics down low on account of the dry desert climate being hell on wrapped gut strings in my experience.

I received the newest leaflet from Gerold and it looks like he's streamlining his operation currently.
He's focusing on a string based on his 20xx basso/solo strings. No more corax, drago, red label, etc for now. There are options for having a corax-like or wrap G string but the focus are the new 2016 Basso AP.
He sent me a link of the strings being used. Super nice woody sound, seems like it would be a good enough amount of sustain. Apparently they're easy to bow, built for all kinds of playing.
If anyone decides to go for it, do tell. I'm currently rocking a Corax fire D/G under Spiro E/A but am saving up in anticipation for my corax strings possibly dying or breaking as I'm past the 2 year guarantee mark.

Best strings ever, period. I have the new 2016 AP set since a couple of months and I've had a 2013 Basso set before.
Will never go back to anything else.
