Sorry if this is the wrong place, but can anyone ID these strings?

They came installed on the Thumb I recently bought. Seller was unsure what they were.

No silk, tapered B, gold/brass ball ends. Instead of silk, there's a bit of 'wire' where we may otherwise see silk.

Those wiry ends around the tuner posts tell me they're Warwick Red Label - probably stainless steel.

The Warwick Red Labels are like that indeed, but I'm not sure they're the only ones in the Warwick string range to have this feature

Thanks! I asked because the Warwick black labels I just received have no silk, but are not 'wirey' on the ends - they instead have more typical windings at a smaller diameter up to the ends.

Funny, I only installed the black labels tonight. Similar feel and tone to the strings they replaced, maybe a little more definition, which could readily be explained by being new. Feel is very similar, though I’m still trying to gauge the ‘evenness’ of the response and volume across strings, particularly on the low b.

Nice. Well I'm still thinking about what strings to try next and I've had Warwick on my mind for a while. The red labels are pretty cheap and I'm trying to find something affordable but flavored in a way I like. Let us know how you like both strings.

If the previous strings were red labels, they weren’t bad. I’d look at using them again. From what I’ve read, the main concerns around red labels are focused on qc and longevity.

Black labels are supposed to be similar, with more consistent quality, and maybe they hold up longer? I’m a bad judge for that last bit - I tend to like the sound of broken in strings, even rounds. This is probably because my main basses lean toward the ‘bright’ side of things (Ric 4003, MM SR5, this thumb), but I prefer a slightly warmer tone, with lots of innate growl.

Definitely not flats or groundwounds. I run flats on one of my P basses, and spent some time running flats on my stingray. Lastly, these feel a whole lot like the rounds I just replaced them with.
