Double Bass Sound post position?

Just wandering where the soundpost is supposed to be? and what are some of the options? do some positions cause for different sounds,volume,tone etc...? thanks

I would guess between the back and the top, just south of the G side of the bridge - but then, I haven't done a search using "sound-post" and "setting" as key-words - now there's an idea…
