Pardon me for asking, but these two terms get confused sometimes--do you mean sound proofing as in making sure no sound gets in or out of your studio, or sound absorption as in taming the natural sound inside the studio? What kind of space are you looking at, i.e. bedroom, garage, warehouse, stone, concrete, etc. Sound proofing and absorption are generally different for every situation. Go to www.mixonline.com and poke around, Mix magazine has articles on practically everything.
